Question Turn signals blink S L O W L Y

My turn signals blink very slowly.Like a full second in between blinks and occasionally more than a full second. Is this "normal" for our cars or should I be looking at a flasher replacement or ??

I would go straight for the flasher. If they blink at all, the bulbs are good.

Garage
I like the flasher they sell at auto zone. Its selling point is that it is louder. Though its not as loud as it says it feels better quality than the other ones and is also heavy duty. it was bright yellow.
