Need help in UNWIRING my roadmaster

Folks...just became proud parent of a 91 Roadmaster wagon... Nice car straight etc..but high mileage and drive train...ready for the recycle... Trying to milk another year out of it...maybe. Anyways i am planning either a big block or 409 with a Tremac 5 speed... Yes peeps this will be carbed with simple distributor ....engine driven fuel pump etc... and autometer or the likes gauge cluster.... Wanting a sleeper... I want to get rid of as many of the crazy etc... Contemplating rewiring whole car...but power window..brake..harness etc all good... Any info or pics of old school swaps appreciated... Cheers

First, get an FSM, so that you know where the wires go. Then you can eliminate all of the ones you are not using, or use them for something else.

1991 OCC 461 (.030 over 454) BBC, 3.23 posi, flash to pass, drop spindles & springs, Impala rims, Hydroboost, Recaros, MOMO/wood SW w/QR, custom wood shift knob, Pioneer DEH P77DH
1992 OCC now with 5.7 tbi, DEH P77DH

FSM.....something service manual... Prob a good place to start... Not to tough to eliminate wires...just worried if you leave the thingamabob unhooked will the whatchamacallit quit also......I gather these run rudimentary brain box's....but will one system kill another....etc

FSM=Factory Service Manual

Doing a Carb motor &

While not a could build your LT1 into a 383 or 396 Carb motor and go T-56

In terms of "bolting" in would likely be a shorter transplant path vs BBC/TKO

With that said a BBC and TKO cark swap would be cool. Needless to say "discussing" this with the current wiring harness and PCM will need some translation :-)

Good luck with the swap and post a build thread when you get the project started

I dont think the 91 is an LT1.....has a hard time getting out of itscown way...420 thousand kilometers.... Destined to be boat moorage anchor... Seriously thinking of putting in the 1965 409 I have... A bit wider than the im quite sure the wipers will give me grief and poss the brake booster but.....if it was built by man it can be fixed by man.... I hope LOL?
