9C1 front springs on the RMS

I did a couple of quick searches on raising the front end of the car but did not find anything, most people like to lower theirs.I would like to know if the 9C1 or police package front springs will bring up the front of the Roadmaster some.Is there a difference on the two springs?I would like the stance of the car to be neutral, right now it sits higher on the back and I do not want to lower it.

I saw on the springs sticky that maybe I could get what i'm looking for with the 9C1's but I don't see a source for them since all the springs listed are for lowering.Any guidance will be appreciated.Thanks.

The 9c1 springs will definitely bring up the nose of your car some... They are taller and have a different spring rate, so it would definitely achieve what you are looking to do... I'm guessing your car has the FE1 suspension package as mine does. Those particular springs are sooo soft that after years and years of a 2+ tom car sitting on them, they actually start to collapse and that's where your droopy nose comes in.... The cars didn't sit all THAT much higher in the back than front when new, though they did have a little rake to them.... I am actually going through the same thing with mine right now as to what to do. I have mine lowered 3"+ in the rear and the untouched front is STILL about 3/4 - 1" lower in the front. I was going to do the 9c1 springs originally, but I think I'm actually going to just go with another pair of stockers for my car, which WILL bring the front up... just not as much as the 9c1's will... 9c1's sit REALLY high in comparison. Not sure sure about this, but I'd say probably another inch or so than ours would with new FE1 springs...... I just am into the soft ride, and with good tires and and sway bars it's not like it won't handle well at all despite the cushy ride :)

Thank you both for replying, good info.I really appreciate the pics,I don't think that I would like my front that high since I'm not touching the rear suspension. Is there a source for new FE1 or FE2 springs that you know of, maybe the aftermarket? Thanks.

I am not 100% sure, but I've done some checking around and I believe the MOOG PART # AMG638 springs are the FE1 equivalent in the aftermarket world... most places just list "factory replacement spring" with NO regard to the fact that there are SEVERAL susppension packages for these cars.... Let alone listing more than one option... The only reason I have come to the conclusion that these should theoretically be the correct ones is because SOME places actually list spring rates of the ones that are available, and the AMG638's have the lowest(softest) spring rate(328lbs/in.) of all of the ones that I've been able to find... and they are the cheapest as well, which in my mind confirms... because who really wants that?... you know, besides us. LOL

Here is a link to SUMMIT where they have them for $59.95/pair.

The FE2 springs in the wife's B4U were one inch lower than the 9C1 springs but had the same rate if I remember correctly.

Correct. From the b body parts manual, it shows that other then a FE1 sedan, everything else, wagons included, get the higher 77Nm springs. Only difference among them it their heights.
