Slight miss

What’s up guys it’s been a while. So I’ve talked about my impala on here more than once, I always seem to get pretty good advice on here. This car has had every changeable component replaced on it Front to back and Looking back now I see that was a mistake! I took a lot of good GM parts off and replace them with O’Reilly’s crap!
I think I’ve almost replaced every component again from failure. The problem I’m having now is I’ve noticed a loss of power, low end power. When I’m driving there’s an occasional slight miss, just like a loss of spark just for a brief second the motor cuts out out.
it does it every so often as I’m driving but it’s becoming more frequent. I changed the opti last year to an accel brand
I was told that was a good one, now the plugs and wires were nothing great they were just O’Reilly’s crap. What do you guys think? do you think it could just be plugs and wires

It could be just about anything. What year is the car? I would start by putting a scanner on it to see what cylinder(s) are misfiring and then go from there.

Have you checked your fuel pressure yet?

No none of the above yet. The car is a 96 and of now there’s no engine lights. I did take off the smog pump recently and I didn’t have it tuned after. I’m not a good mechanic, amateur part changer at best.

Did you change the knock sensors by chance?

If you kept the old parts then possible to re-install (maybe one at a time) to gauge any improvement/cure.

I think Iíve almost replaced every component again from failure.
Not understood. You re-replaced all the new parts that you just installed because almost all of them have failed?

The problem Iím having now is Iíve noticed a loss of power, low end power.
One

When Iím driving thereís an occasional slight miss, just like a loss of spark just for a brief second the motor cuts out out.
Two

it does it every so often as Iím driving but itís becoming more frequent.
Three. Separately and together all good reasons to check stickies and threads by searching 'Off-idle Stumble'

I changed the opti last year to an accel brand I was told that was a good one,
Who told you it was 'a good one'? Any aftermarket opti is a crap-shoot regardless of brand, some luckily assembled well, the next one on the line is a mess. Others with poor quality components last a while then not. There's a couple recent threads on pulling electrical diagnosis with a meter, and you can always pay a shop to hook up and read the motor. Search the opti re-build threads on 1.)frequent things found to fail (weak cap, missing seals, loosened rotors), and 2.) how to blueprint it with all the items to attend to and make it more reliable. Grease and locktite are involved.

now the plugs and wires were nothing great they were just OíReillyís crap. ...do you think it could just be plugs and wires
Not understood. Did you replace the plugs/wires or not? If so, did you make sure all plugs clicked twice both ends? Are any wires damaged from touching something hot?

The act of replacing a lot of parts can cause issues with pulled/broke hoses/wires. Several recent threads describing to use carb cleaner/ether to check for intake/vacuum leaks.

\'96SS SOB: SSRI, Herter Tune, Tri-Y II, , 3000 Edge, F/HO bars, METCO extendeds with CV MMC, Bilsteins, currently Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta (315/35 rear). Finally, wait for it... LT-4 knock module!
\'96FWB BUW-Butt Ugly White: PCMPerformance tune, HDFA w/ swissed filter, 1/2 SLP s.s. catback with H- and Flow Super 50s, oem opti rebuilt 3 times, SS Bars, METCO LCA, Airlift 1000, Monroe SS, PowerTrax No-Slip, CTS wheels with +1 rubber. Finally, yes again... LT-4 knock module!

Yes. I did replace plugs and wires.
Yes. most of the part I put on the car last year have gone bad.
No. I didn’t keep the old parts.
I watched a video on YouTube that said the opti I got was a good brand.
As far as reading the sticky’s, well I don’t know if it’s just on my end or it happens to every one that visits this site, but I can’t do any thing on this site more thin two minutes with out a spin to win pop up coming up.
It takes me completely off this page when it happens, I can’t get it to close out or go back, after about ten seconds it sets security warnings off on my phone.
I end up having to close out every thing and start over. retype the site up, log back in and I might get five minutes before it happens again.
