Hello everyone, I am getting no spark at the spark plugs and I am lost as to what to do next. Today I put in a new opti and a new ignition coil and still nothing. Someone please help me out. Ive been reading other post but still havent been able to fix this problem. Thanks in advance for any help. Matt

Ignition fuse blew twice, have a 15A in there now and its holding. This is all before I swapped out opti and coil.

Check the grounds at the passenger side head and, if you can, swap in a known good ignition control module. Those are two things that come to mind. The grounds at the head can have a break in the wire that's hard to see.

Checked the grounds, they were loose, cleaned and tightened them, still no go.

Did a little snooping with a meter as per the book. Got everything the book was wanting me to see. Im going to go get an ICM and see what happens. The only other thing is I have been having intermittent Pass Key Faults. I got my spare key and it seemed to go away. The Pass Key wouldnt stop the spark would it? The car still turns over just fine, just no spark.

Thanks for all the replies so far everyone.

ICM fixed it, thanks everyone. What a PIA today has been. Glad to be back up and running.

Most likely scenario was that loose and possible corroded grounds, allowed the icm to overheat and draw too much current, thus blowing the fuse. Next time dont just stab a bigger fuse in. Thats probably what killed the icm. If you had metered it out and fixxed the ground then put a new fuse in it might have saved you the money or the icm. Good find.
