I just bought shane's CPT level 2 Tranny, and I also just purchased some hooker headers, along with all of that, I bought all new engine and tranny mounts, new oil/tranny cooler lines, new tranny cooler, and all new U-joints, and some bosch o2 sensors! All should be installed very very soon!!!

No I went with summit racing, they sell them for $350. Shane said good stuff about you as well Eddie, I will take some pics of the instalation process of all of my parts. Up next is hotchkis sways, 3.73's with eaton posi, and pcm tuning. It's finally coming together and it feels great!!! I also think my buddy with the GTO is getting a little nervous with all of my upcoming mods, ha ha ha!!!

Geez Chris, you're not pheukin' around there are you? I know your news about the tranny got buried in my re-named wiper thread. Good news.

All that mechanical stuff you can't see underneath for better/tighter performance is the kinda stuff I like hearing about over all the blingy visual stuff.

Two things:
- I know you already know this, but you're doing or already did some aftermarket LCAs before the swaybars, right?

- You'll never have a better opportunity to replace the oil adapter gasket than when you're doing the lines. It takes a while to get that GD POS MF metal gasket off the block, but it's worth getting rid of an actual or potential genuinely pesky leaker.

Just curious, were you having transmission issues that you decided to get a new CPT or just want one that's better suited and more reliable for performance?

Also, good move on the headers and Bosch O2's...hopefully what you do end up is better.

Thanks man I think my new choice of parts will be a lot better! My tranny is doing ok, but it has been slipping for the past 7,000 miles or so. 3rd and 4th gear are the worst right now, especially when going up hills. It was probabley caused by my torque converter being worn and then it just spread throughout the tranny and did more damage to the bands and stuff. If I had to guess my tranny might go another 5,000 miles or so. I had the tranny flushed twice and the filter changed once since I have owned the car. The previous owner was an elderly gentleman that took care of the service religiously! I think the only reason my car is still able to move is from using Lucas transmission stop slip, that crap is great!!! I won't be using that in my new tranny tho b/c I don't know what the side effects could be!!!
