I decided to drop my car off to get painted. The vinyl roof was taken off by me, I did discover one rust spot about the size of my pinky finger that had rusted all the way through. The whole car is being painted, it will be two tone, white and black!
The hood, roof, and trunk lid will be white, while the rest of the car will be painted black, this includes the upper sides of the doors, and the rear C pillar, where the Cadillac logo's are. They are repairing a large scratch, a dent, and the rust, scratches on the roof, and some flkaing on the front of the hood. The total cost is $600.00 even. I cant wait to see how it looks, it will look bad ass im sure, I will get it back hopefully Friday. Definately will get pics.
The car needed it bad, the hood had a huge fade swirl, rust on the front start to flake, and scratches, the roof was all scratched and had rust spots from the vinyl top, a huge scratch on the rear quarter and a quarter sized ding, knicks and scratches all across the paint! Appearance is everything.
If been entertaining the idea of decals on the car, maybe checkered flags, racing stripes, I raelly dont know yet, just thoughts.
But, the white hood, trunk and roof will keep the car cool in the summer. Since I personally own another white Fleetwood, I can tell you how cool it is in the trunk and inside on a hot day compared to the blue one. This is the 95 Fleetwood, which is also going to get a real Eaton POSI, 3.73's this weekend, then on the 23rd its Dyno computer tune day with Brian from PCM for less!
