Picked up a 93 Fleetwood and have questions

Guys,

I picked up a 93 car and it has some electrical issues.

The seat on the driver side doesn't move when I move the seat control door. The seat on the passenger side seat heater doesn't work.

Does anyone have a schematic for the seats?

The power door switches unlock but don't unlock. I'm assuming this is the relay.

It was missing the rear quarter chrome on both sides but I picked it up this weekend at a yard.

Is there replacement clips for this chrome?

Thanks for your help!!,
Chris

Scads of stuff pops up with Google Images, "1993 cadillac fleetwood seat schematic". See if that does it.

I'm assuming you want one of them to say, "lock". And yah I'm getting that on a Monte door lock currently. Sometimes a pivot point or bushing can bind one direction-not the other. Tear the panel open and if lucky a little degunk/lube will free it. Otherwise dirty switch contacts or weak relay.

Not active stock anymore. And IDK of any aftermarkets doing them yet. You may find some NOS but man they gonna be pricey by now. I bought 16 various new 15 years ago and one of them in the back was like $11.

The power locks unlock but wont lock. It is both on the driver side and passenger side. I'm going to throw a new relay in there.

The search for the power seat diagram goes on. It gives you a 93 deville diagram and a lot of non caddy diagrams. I'm not seeing any of the clips broken on the sides of the car. I just assumed since they are missing, there has to be a problem there.

From '95 FSM

The rears are especially large/heavy. Lostcould be not perfectly installed and hitting all the pins and pegs top and bottom. Some guys throw in a few selftap screws along the bottom to encourage staying on, and of course to make it harder for others to help them grow legs.

Yes, I AM awesome, but also humble to a fault. You're no slouch yourself - copying everything so's I can't yank them back and make you pay. lol You must be married fretting over heated seats. I ain't had mine on since I got it in 2000, but the passenger sure loves hers.

WOAH! Look what I just found! You can just send me $50 in small unmarked coins. Or go git a FSM already there.

Good luck.

The heater is probably a broken heater wire. Use a crimp connector to make the connection, and it should work.

The bottom "springs" are usually broken on the rear clips. #8 is the most difficult to find. The springs are lazy L shaped pieces of plastic on the bottom of the clip. They are easy to break, so, are usually missing. There is a screw holding the #8 clip, and most people try to remove the clip without removing the screw first, breaking the clip. All of the FWs from 93-96 have the same clips.

1991 OCC 461 (.030 over 454) BBC, 3.23 posi, flash to pass, drop spindles & springs, Impala rims, Hydroboost, Recaros, MOMO/wood SW w/QR, custom wood shift knob, Pioneer DEH P77DH
1992 OCC now with 5.7 tbi, DEH P77DH
