Yes Schlik- they are different as you found. In more ways than one. D-body were made from exploding rigid plastic, and other B-bodies from more malleable stuff. However the good news. The PO to my current FWB installed a RMS version (apparently diff. enough from Chevy to work) and got the curved dam to line up right with a small clearance slit (un-noticable).
