Same with 'MINT'. This purports the car is in the same condition as the day it rolled off the assembly line, otherwise 'minted', as with a coin.

Just curious: Are there many alterations required registering an 'older' ('70-'90s) American car overseas to comply with differing lighting/safety standards there? Or, are they all 'grandfathered' in without changes?
