I bought a TV tuner and installed it, and the reception is horrible...i then bought an amplified antenna for it and installed it on top of the windshield, and reception got better, but still leaves a lot to be desired. does anyone have any tips on how to get better reception, or does anyone have a tuner installed and can give feedback?

Does anyone offer mobile satellite video yet? That'd be killer! And that's what I'm waiting for...

Most of the problem is that TV signal is directional and you're not. And if you are moving its worse. No easy fix that I have seen. Even Motor Homes have a roof antenna that can be turned to the direction of signal. I've seen some electronic antennas that automaticaly switch but they fit on a Motor Home not on a car. What we need is Cellular TV... With Free Roming and Unlimited Minutes Right....

My first TV was an el cheapo the tuner couldn't have picked up a station if I was parked next to the stations antenna. My second and third TV's where Audiovox they work great in a larger city.
Like GoldSSWagon said unless you can move your antenna while driving forget a decent picture if you car is moving. Although I have a perfect picture while sitting still.

I have seen a version of a satellite TV receiver that can be mounted on a vehicle. I don't know exactly where, I think it was in an automag from the last 2 months (Car and Driver or Autoweek most likely). They had a dish which flat mounted on the top of the vehicle. Problem is it was about 3 ft in diameter and about 4 inches thick. Nothing you probably want to mount on your SS. Whoever had it, mounted it on the top of an SUV between the roof rails.

Yes, and we just recently came out with a lot "slimmer" more aerodynamic antenna.. its still big though, and still expensive

Basically amplifiers are all you can do, make sure you have a good amplifier though. Make sure all your connections are good, etc... it will ALWAYS vary from place to place, channel to channel. Also, on my panasonic, I have two antennas and a signal booster/amp. If it has two antenna inputs, use em.
