Headliner removal plastic things.

Hello. On a headliner removal from a 1996 Impala SS there are two(2) push/snap in gray plastic things. What’s the best way to remove these without breaking them or damaging the headliner. Thanks, Norm.



96 SS DGGM, original owner, purchased 1995, 194K miles (sep 13), SLP 2400, Transgo Kit, Eaton Posi, 3.42 gears, Be Cool Radiator, B&M Trans Cooler w/fan, Bryan Herter Programming, 160 Thermo, Underdrive Pulley. 96 SS Black, 72k miles (sep 13), all stock., purchased 2013, Worcester, Massachusetts.

I used the tool that is in the top of the picture in this link.....

....to get underneath of the gray push pins and just pulled down to remove them from the roof being careful not to dig into the headliner material/foam.

2nd for the silver aluminum tool mentioned. Great for all those interior panel fasteners.
