window switch pinout (driver side)

I've got the door panel off the driver side front door to replace the side mirror. I would prefer to avoid having to ever get back in here so I'm going to do everything while I'm in here (roller fix, maybe speaker, investigate passenger mirror problem). I've got the switch panel off and I really don't want to plug it back in to roll a window up or down. Those connectors are hard to get loose and I don't want to break anything by doing it repeatedly. I'm probably going to have the panel off a while and want to leave the window up when I'm not working on it. I'm going to go through the FSM and see if I can jump a couple pins to move windows, but if you know which connectors/wires are needed to move the driver window up and down let me know.

I've had a problem with the passenger side mirror since I got the vehicle...I can move it left/right but not up/down. Thankfully it was positioned perfectly up/down and I never really wanted to pull a door panel off to chase it. Driver side has always worked 100%. Now that I've got the driver panel off I can check the switch. Should have pulled the passenger mirror glass and probed the motor connector long ago but never did. At least now it's going to be easy to isolate. Any insight appreciated. Anybody know how the switch works internally? You rotate it to select driver/passenger, not sure how that works electrically.

Way back when I added Power Mirrors and Power Seats to my car using pigtails from a donor car and making up my own Harness inbetween the pigtails. I found the Schematics here very helpful in tracing out circuits.

A

On the Power window circuit, you will need the master switch connected to use the other door window switches. In the past when I wanted to keep the panel off and still operate the windows, i found it easy to just leave the entire switch attached to the Driver door. I would just let the Harness and Switch hang over the Door Lever so the assembly would not flop around or get caught in the door when closing.

It really is not difficult to connect the Switch to the harness if you disengage the clip. If you are concerned with fighting with it, just pug the connector on far enough to work but not to engage the clip. Maybe based off the schematic you can see how to trigger window operation. but to me, that is a hassle cause you will need to have some Wire Leads ready for 12V and Ground to operate the switch. IMHHO - It's just so easy to plug and unplug the harness to the switch.

Thanks! One of those diagrams shows the wire colors. Could probably figure it out from there. Just need to jumper the right wires at the connectors, I usually use some scrap wire or the leads from an old multimeter. I did try plugging the connectors in just short of engaging the clips. One won't do it, you need both connectors on the window switch section. Did the job.

I'll probably still get out the multimeter and see if I can confirm the pins to jumper, will report back if I figure it out.
