REQ: Removing Dome Light Body - The LAST piece HELP!!

Guys,
I've got everything removed except the housing for the light bulb in the denter, interior of the headliner panel.

I can CLEARLY see a threaded body on each end when I pull back the tabs at each end, and the flashlight in my mouth! I've got the area marked with a black rectangle in the image below.

HELP, PLEASE!! It's the last piece I need to remove to have the guy re-do the headliner for me tomorrow morning..I can't see too much, but I can clearly see a threaded body in that area.

What do I gotta do to remove it??!!

Thanks!!

It's the best I can do for an image when it's pitch black, and I'm by myself. - TIA!!

I "think" you just got to drill out those rivets. It's been a long while since I added the Astro Overhead console. I'll see if those instructions mentions anything about that. The obvious caution here is use a Drill stop unless you want to add a vent hole to your roof.

I got it out by using my door panel trim clip removal tool. It has an angle on the end, and allowed me to get under the tabs at the 3 & 9 O-Clock positions.

I only need to get under one, and rotate it a little and the...POP. The threaded looking plastic tip area, came right our from the roof panel.

The tab was hanging on by a little piece when I removed it, but by the time I took a picture it came off completely.

I wanted to take these pictures to document this in case anyone ever needs to do the same thing. There's been a bit of chatter here, but no one has ever documented what it finally took to get the base piece off, and what it looked like.

MY tip to anyone in the future is to come in from the far end of one of the tabs, at either the 3 or 9 O-Clock positions, and then pry down.

I didn't come in perfectly from the far end. I'm not sure if that will make a difference in getting it out in one piece. I'll find out when I go to the junkyard to get a replacement this weekend.
