Solar vent fan

I think this is a good place for this thread... If not maybe a mod will move it.
It gets here in the summer. Like 110 in the shade kind of hot. I have tried those little window mounted solar vent fans and they work. But I was thinking. Lets go pruis on this. I was thinking, Hook up a dash mounted solar panel to the hvac fan and put it on a switch. So when I park my car (rip mousey) I can flip a switch and bring in a continuous supply of outside air without draining the battery. I would mount my panel in the back between the speakers so I could use my reflective shield. All one would have to do is remember to switch from recirculate to fresh air. In theory this would work. The problem would be. Does a solar panel make enough watts to effectively spin the blower motor? OR would the low voltage burn the motor up? Am I on to something here?
Guys I realize it is winter and my SS is now gone, but I want to do this to my truck. And help others out that daily drive their B/D-bodys or any car for that matter.
I would greatly love some input on this.

2015 Camry xse is my new daily. It has electric steering!!!!

The size panel that will fit on the package tray is about 5 amps at 12 volts. I believe the motor is about a 20+ amp draw (the fuse in the fan circuit is 30A, and gets warm when the fan is running.

Maybe you could put a small computer style fan in the ductwork at an outlet. It will not put out as much air as the HVAC fan, but you may be able to run a number of them on 5 amps. The switch could control them as well.

I've got some experience with solar panels on my sailboat. If you can run the blower motor on 6 amps, you would need about a 100 watt solar panel. It would put out about 6 amps at roughly noon. A lot less in the morning and probably around 3-4 amps at 2:00-4:00. You could get about 30 amp/hours a day out of it. A 100 watt solar panel will be around 2' x 3' and weigh around 20 pounds or so. How big is your parcel shelf?

Fred is right, a computer fan is a way to go off a solar panel just make sure it's 12v as some are 5v. When I lived in Texas to remove heat in my black truck I put vent visors on and had a Stinger audio amp blower I would hang on the A pillar trim tied directly to the 15watt harbor freight panel. It lowered my interior temps from 150+ to 100-110. Still was hot but the AC worked much faster.

The only problem I see with drawing in fresh air is without the Windows cracked it will struggle to get air through. Below is a fan I'm adding to my truck for rear air. Might work for your idea.

I mean yes it will struggle with pc fans. But maybe modify the intake or find a different style fan. I figured just pressurize the cabin and let the heat escape through the factory body vents. I only had the idea so far. I figured the hvac fan being dc could run slower at lesser amps/voltages. I guess I am wrong. hhmmm, Maybe flip one of the body vents around and have it as intake and put a fan on the other as exhaust. Using nochtua industrial pressure optimized fans should help.
Or maybe set the blower motor to come on a few minutes of each hour and keep the solar panel in the parcel tray to keep the battery topped off. My goal here is to not have to crack the windows. I travel for a living and have to leave my car in less than desirable areas. This is not for my impala though. Though the idea could certainly be retrofitted in.
