That's interesting. Years ago I bought a 10 mile LT1 and attached 4L60E with 10 miles as well from a "coach builder" in Michigan. I was looking for a new tranny for my 9C1 and found this. At the time, I had close to 300K miles on the car!
It had been taken out of a new Fleetwood that they armored. They said the additional weight made this a necessity. I bought both for $2400 and gave the mechanic my existing engine and tranny in exchange for the install. Shipping was about $700 as I remember. Was a great deal for me.
This car has great history. Would be a good candidate for more power though. Probably built heavier than even a normal armored car.
