6"x9" subwoofers

Has anybody tried using 6"x9" subwoofers in the rear deck? I have 6.5" component speakers for my front doors and 6.5" 3ways for my rear doors, Just a thought.

I don't really know who else makes them, I just google searched 6x9 subwoofer

96 Impala, six speed,spec 3 clutch, center force flywheel,
eaton posi w/4.10s
160 TS, TB bypass, Bonneville seats
2.5" exhaust, K&N intake, PCM forless tune.

RE audio came out with the XXX 6x9s, i run the 6 1/2s and they sound good to me

I remember in my 91 wagon before I went to a true sub I had a set of Kicker "Free Air" 6x9's in the back panels. They sounded pretty good!!

96 Caprice Wagon: LT1, Black exterior with ruby red inside, Soundstream sound, rollpan, Corvette dress, LT4 valve covers, Edelbrock headers, SRI cai, Spintech 6334 muffs, Dynomax stainless tips that exit behind wheels, H-Pipe, built tranny with Corvette servos, Hipro valve body & stall convertor, 9C1 rear disc w/ SS backing plates, Wildwood 1.5" rotors w/ 4 piston calipers in front, swaybars front & rear, Metco rear links, 20" Centerline Lancers with Sumitumo 255-35-20 shoes. 1 of 485 built!!

Yes the rear speakers are 6x9s, I have a pair of pioneer 2 way (maybe 3 way) running off of a cheap amp, they sound really good.

I'm running 2 12s, but I think it's a bit much for my taste.

Plus one on that. 6x9 subs with a very small amp that can be wired and hiddened easily, still beating down the block would be so perfect.
