I'm looking to upgrade my speakers on the wagon but I don't want to spend a fortune.

I'm am not going to compete with the wagon, I just want speakers that are better than stock but not too expensive.

I will eventually swap out the head unit but I only want to change the speakers once.

I need speakers that will work well with the stock head unit but will also work well with an aftermarket unit in the future.

I heard that pioneer has good quality vs. price and

any others

and how does the stock connector work, i started removing trim and There is this plastic connector on the speaker where the two wires connect to the speaker but the wires appear to be soldered onto the speaker.

Any help will be appreciated

I just got a pair of Polk EX-693a's real cheap at circuit city. They dropped right into the back of a 94 White With Wood (WWW) Roadie Wagon. It was so easy the guy even remounted the remote opener receiver while he had the panels out. Took a while to reset the bass, treble, and fade (the arlington speakers said 10 Ohms!) but I'm happy with the upgrade. has the best prices I've seen, if you know what you want. Just ordered an Alpine MRV-F357 5 channel amp from them. Now to find a pair of fronts and a good clean sub... . It's a good time to buy as last years stuff is going CHEAP!
I let the guys at circuit city install the rear speakers, but I think I'm going to be on my own for the rest, as they "only do factory replacements" and I'm looking to put at least 5.25's in the front.

I just replaced all my speakers with Kenwood Excelon Coaxials (Ears still ringing).
In my opinion, quality-vs.-price, they're the best coaxials I've ever heard, or rather, used to hear.....
