My wife has a '03 Bonneville SLE, where can I get a power source for the remote on? The car has no power antenna. This is the first cat I have put a system in and still had the factory radio so I'm lost.
I'll assume you are putting an amp in. The first problem with this vehicle is that there is no ignition source at the radio itself...the radio has a power and ground...but is turned off/on via databus. When I put an amp in or an aftermarket deck in GM's w/ the Databus setup I tag the brown accessory wire at the Ignition switch. Only problem with this is that the accessory you are hooking up will turn off when the key is turned off......not when you open the drivers door. A solution would be to get a remote turn on device that hooks up to the speaker output of the factory deck and gives you an amp turn on when it "sees" audio output from the factory deck.
