I have 6x9 Infinity Kappas(693.5) in the rear deck no amp just running off a kenwood cd player(45x4). I noticed the woofer is no longer working for one of the speakers, the tweeter is though. I checked all wires and hooked it up to the other wires for the other speaker, and still it didnt work, so its not the black box or bad wiring. Are ther places that fix this? I cant afford new speakers and only need these for a road trip friday. Thanks

If the tweeter is still working then it is most likely blown.

if you have access to a multimeter (or ohmmeter) measure the resistance of the speaker with the stereo OFF.

it should read the nominal impedance of the speaker, usually around 4 ohms. If it reads very high (over say 5.5ohmish) or low (under 3) it's prob blown.
