I can't find any good grounding location for my amp in my trunk, the spot im using now(trunk support thing) has all of a sudden started to give me problems like cutting of power to my amp unless I tap the ground wire.

How well did you prep the grounding surface, and how tightly is the gound crimped/secured?

Use the back seat bolt to ground your system. I use it and have had zero problems. Of course you should remove the paint and grease in the area first
