Given the subs you are talking about I would def going with the L7's. They will put the Type R's to shame from what I have heard. I would say just stick with the 12's I am sure you will be more than happy with them.

Good luck and take and let us know how things turn out.

W'sup Man, Nice Choice in equipment

I'm wondering if you plan on getting the Full 1000 watts from that RF Amp? What I mean is in order for you to do that you gotta get Dual 2 ohm Voice Coil sub. An L7 12 wired @ 1ohm is gonna Rock, and thats an understatement

Spec's for that amp can be found here: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14333

Just make sure you get an enclosure made to spec for that sub and the right "Stuff" for your eletrical system, because @ 1 ohm that amp is gonna draw ALOT of power to push that L7

Hope this helps, post pics when it's all installed

I plan on finding all the weak seams in my sheetrock with a 1.7 killowatt amp.

Well the reason im askin about thiz is cause i installed it in a friendz 2005 5.7 jeep grand cherrokee..That s*it is so loud that it broke his sunroof...it did not wanna open or close..hahaha...so we took it out and brought it back to the dealership..I wired it the same way 2 ohms but how would it perform in a sealed box in my trunk is my question...cause we put his in a ported box and i put the subsonic filter cause it might blow...i know if i put it in a sealed box i will not turn on the filter..im gonna chain the trunk down...I got my electrical system ready...i got an optima battery and will add a 4 farad capasitor since my friends got a 2 farid and it still dims the headlights so i say itz a good amp!
i wanna keep it as compact as possible...That is the amp of my choice...but i been also lookin at this unit called "Alpine MRD-M1005"but i still want the rockford...i wanna wire it to the stock system headunit...to give a sleeper look but i know itz gonna be hard. cause of interferance and it might not be clear but i connected my friends unit to his stock navigation stereo...and its good too...so i might pick up another radio at the same time!so give me some opinions on head units...i been lookin into pioneer and alpine...but i might just connect it to the stock delco unit with a preout boaster or a sound processor!cause i like the sleeper look!lolz

You saying 1 L7 messed the sunroof up, if it did the roof was ready to go already.

lol...I mean 2 12' L7'S...tha truck was brand new and it messed up the passage way the moonroof goes...one of our car club memberz has 4 l7's 12's and 2 hifonics 2500 amps and 4 farad capasitor and a red optima battery and it still dims with a powermaster 200amp alt..and itz rediculus...constantly breakz his taillight bulbs and it bended hiz lock hatch so he chains it down...and its been dynamated but itz still rattles like s*it...lolz...and itz too much of an overkill...hahaha..but yea
