hi, and thank you for the ideas. Do you have this Pioneer mounted in your car? Crutchfield seems to think this unit will not fit the 95 Impala SS.
This unit would make my day.
Do you have a picture of it in the car?
Other then taking off the dash installing the Pioneer was the easiest install I have ever done. I got mine from; www.broadwaycomputer.com
they had the best in-stock price with shipping I could find. *note* the -P77DH model is no longer made and can be hard to find the -P45DH model is every ware. I also ordered a factory wire harness form them. The only problem I have noticed is the the dash light dim switch does not work with the head unit, I have not pulled the dash back off to find out what the problem is. I have a photo of it installed I am not sure how to post it here, so I will e-mail it to you if you want.
Go with the alpine decks. They have some 1.5" din decks that fit great in GM cars. I put one in my 95 SS. I believe the model number is CDA-853. I love it. It's between $500 and $600 retail but I got mine on Ebay for $260 new. Install was no sweat and they look a lot nicer than the Pioneer decks. If you need anymore info just hit me up.
