Anyone ripped out their interior and deadened the car? Mine is completely out, to the bare metal, for dying it black and putting in new carpet. A sound system is in the future, but I figured why not just do the deadening now? I'm laying down some 12x12 rubber adhesive stuff I picked up at the local auto store. It seems as good as Dynamat or something like that...anyone with serious sound systems have any suggestions as to what rattles and what I should cover? Any input would be appreciated.

Anywhere there is large amounts of flat space. Usually areas under the front seats, floor mats (front & rear), and the area under the back seat. If you got the money do the whole thing. Other areas that are good to sound deaden are the following to eliminate road noise: Doors, headliner, & trunk.

Don't forget the C pillar. Some scraps of carpet padding, cotton fill (used by doll makers or other crafting things) ect....

I suggest you cover as much as you can, you won't beleive the difference.
