Yeah they're tecnically called oversized 6.5s.. I usually dont turn the bass up too much.. On my old aiwa cd player in the caprice i had it like 3 out of 7 and the treble 4 out of 7.. Still with bass blockers the cd player eventually distorted some of the sound of the 4x6's. I'm assuming since they are a bigger diameter speaker they can handle more Rms and shouldnt be a problem, but I might just add a set like you said after I listen to what they sound like..
Where is the best place to put the bass blockers,, closet to the cd player or closest to the speaker? Ive been told player.
How hard are those door panels to take off? On my 89 caprice you had to take the screws out of the arm rest and then pop those plastic holders off that went into the actual door. Same type of procedure or different??
I plan on upgrading my speakers as money comes and seeing how I will have some but not a lot of money to spend, I will probably just go with Pioneer speakers. I'm also thinking of (actually im bidding on one right now) a Pioneer DEH-P3500 for the RM.. Thanks for your help. You have been very informative..
