New Fully Built Forged 396 cubic inch LT1/LT4

New, never run. Several years back I worked with Victory Racing Engines in Michigan to put this engine together. Unfortunately, I was never able to finish the car it was meant to go into. The engine has been sitting in my garage since being built. Condition on all of the parts is new or like new. I just pulled the oil pan off to inspect the bottom end and it looks the same as when it was first built. Build sheets are included in the sale.

Asking price is $6500.

Located in Houston, TX. Local pickup or buyer arranges pick up with shipping company.

You know the compression ratio? Thanks,

Should be right around 11.5:1 with current heads and pistons.

Ok, thank you. I figured with the negative dished pistons and the 58cc chambers it would be lower.

Is that the static compression ratio or the overlap adjusted compression ratio measured ?

Would this engine be California legal for emissions tests ?
I’m concerned about the intake.
I’ve been wanting to put one on my SS’s LT1 but even though it’s designed with an EGR valve location, my understanding is the intake is not CARB D-269 or whatever certified.
Can you shed any light on this.
I would love to drop that thing in my Impala...
Not tell em it’s stroked...
Thank you for any information you can supply...

I’d hate to buy that intake, out it in only to find out some smog technician is gonna tell me it’s a no go...
Considering they won’t even let me remove my useless and disconnected air pump, I’m so gun shy to mess with any of the intake or exhaust systems that I haven’t done hardly anything to substantially increase performance.
The TSA says to disable it, but the smog referees and smog stations tell me i can’t remove it completely and that it has to stay in place.
Their Justification is, the TSA says disable, not remove.
Even though it no longer does anything but keep 29 lbs of a useless anchor on the car and usually in my way of anything I have to do with the front part of my engine, and it’s actually a potential future source of exhaust leaks that would seriously effect the emissions, they still won’t allow me to remove it.
Aaarrrggh....
I hate California...

11.5:1 is static compression ratio. I don't know any details on how California does emissions testing but I would be very surprised if this engine passed it.
