They're are plenty of chassis shops in the NY/NJ area, I would have a custom cage made. This way you can give them some imput on where you want to arrange the cage.

That is a descent price for CM pre-bent, but you should be able to buy it and have it bent locally for not much more. Also, is that pre-notched too? Notching is more of a hassle then bending.
One other thing, CM must be TIG (heliarc) welded to be NHRA legal, which is much more difficult than MIG unless you've got a top of the line welder with a water cooled torch. IMHO, chassis shops do earn their money.
