EGR functionality hasn't been required to test in California for years now. Also our cars do not use a readiness monitor for EGR (what I mean is it will NEVER show as set).

Our cars are only capable of 8 monitors even though a scanner will show 10. Both of those monitors are not supported in our cars and will NEVER set. Think it's time to find a new smog station.

never seen HC that low. the NO is on the high side could be the EGR not opening enough . higher than normal would be from combustion chamber too hot.
with vehicles that have the EGR delete tune the converters do more work fail sooner.
My cars have pretty much all had very little HC and as for the NOx keep in mind the CATs are the originals with 137K miles on them. The EGR is an F-body that I installed mid last year and all passages clear and solenoid working properly.

BALLSS, that is interesting info that the MAX allowable being different for your car and mine being we're both in California, must have different MAX specs based on County maybe?

I take my vehicles to one of my old customer's shops to have my smog done and he only charges me $40 instead of the normal $50 to his other customers.

For all you people living in states other than California your time is coming, the government has slowly been adopting Ca. standards to other states. It's just a matter of time before everyone is screwed just the same.
