I've read a lot of the past threads and realize that prep is the most important thing to do before using the SEM. But I've got a question on what you all have used.
From talking to Vinylpro, I need
Hard plastic:
SEM scuff and clean
SEM plastic/leather prep
SEM bonding clear (adhesion promoter)
Soft vinyl/dash pad:
SEM Soap
SEM water bourne vinyl prep
SEM sand free
All this adds up to ~ $46, which is fine if it is all necessary, but I wanted to check with you guys before ordering to see it anything could be skipped or you recommended a different product.
I've read some people using grease and wax remover, soap then alcohol, paint thinner, etc.
Let me know what works and what doesn't.
