Will the TCE big brake kit work with 20 inch rims. Anything to watch out for with after market wheels and TCE brke kit?

Depends on the wheels. The "front spacing" (i.e. clearance needed IN FRONT of the rotor for the caliper) needed for the TCE kit is a lot more than the stock calipers.

Obviously, they'll easily clear on caliper diameter unless it is a REALLY goofy wheel design.

Best bet is to find a local car with the TCEs, and get one of the rims WITHOUT the tire mounted (so you can return it if necessary) and try a test fit.

I'll add to Ed's response--the TCE system was designed to clear the OEM 17" wheel, though it will work with PLENTY of other wheels, and will NOT work with many others. You might think that 20's would be NO problem, but verifying the critical dimensions for clearing this brake system are strictly the car owner's responsibility if you choose to use anything other than the OE wheel.

Only way it'll work with TT2s is to do the following :
 1.
Get 1/2" or so thick, HUB CENTRIC spacers
Install longer lugnut studs.
Chunk the wheels you have now (17x9.5", 5.5" backspacing) and get some in 17x9.5" with 6.0" backspacing. Note that depending on how "custom" AR is willing to go, this may not even be possible.
Pray it all fits and stays together.

In other words, I wouldn't recommend this route. The Baer GT brakes SHOULD clear the TT2s (based on where the TT2s DID hit my brakes) but it's not a sure thing either.

A couple of thoughts.

First, keep in mind this is not a problem with the product, it's only a matter of having the caliper being wider than stock.

Secondly, much of this was done to fit the stock wheel more than aftermarket ones. If you can't fit the stockers then why make it?

Next, it MAY be possible to make the kit with more offset to move the rotor even more inboard. Not sure, been a long time since I checked other issues on this one.

Most 20" wheels should fit this brakes kit with ease unless it has some sort of multi piece design to it that places the bolt ring in the area of the caliper. This is where there are problems.

Lastly, if anyone wishes to send me a wheel to do test fit on I'm happy to help.

I had found some rims i liked and the bolt pattern isnt correct by using a converter to correct the bolt pattern will use up a 1/2 inch or so. Will this also work for offset while running 20s leaving clarence for TCE big brake kit??
