Well, do you want to reuse the factory snaps in the floor or not...? Fairly simple question...

 

You are ordering new mats so, without snaps would be the ticket.

 

I went ahead and ordered them with, but only because I have a set of factory mats. Don't know if they will ever get used again though...

 

I ordered mine without snaps and got them anyway.

 

well i think i am got this figured out now, since i have a 9C1 and rubber floor, i never saw any snaps. I thought the snaps where to help the carpet to stay on the body of the car, but what i gather is that there where snaps ONTOP of the carpet and under the floor mats to keep the floor mats in place? Is this right?
If so, i'll order without snaps, hopefully i don't get any like "Jesse96"

Correct. The OEM mats had no nibs to hold them in place, only the snaps. The nibs on Tom's mats actually work much better.

I hate those damn snaps! They take alot of line up and you relaly have to pull to get the mats out.. haha!

And the metal button shows on top and looks like crap.

I wanted a change from the Black/Charcoal rubber floor i have, so i went with the OEM Gray for the carpet...i know, i gets dirty fast. I always liked this color and could use the change (i'm sure all you SS owners where fed up of they Gray

Tom helped me decide on the 1068 foor mats, slightly darker, but a nice contrast, and i took the "Caprice SS" Embroid. in white (I know...dirty dirty dirty!!) I'm stuburn, what can i say...

What kind of turn around time have all of you waited for the mats and carpets, i am so excited to get them in already!!

 

For me, 2 weeks on the 1200 series carpet and 3 weeks on the embroidered mats. YMMV and I'd not start worrying for 6 weeks which, IIRC, was how long it took my first set of mats to come.

 

Tony et al, you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of Tom's carpet/mats ... I know you hear everyone say it, but once you've got them in your hands you'll be saying: "Now I see what everyone was talking about!".

 

Fancy mats protecting a rubber floor. I have now officially seen it all...

Where did you get those mats/ The only reference I see is that they are being ordered from Tom. Who the heck is Tom? The rest of the info is great but useless if nobody knows where to get those rugs.
