ok guys this just started yesterday. i go to pull out of my driveway yesterday and the car shuts off, but i still have power in the car. that was caused by a bad fuel filter, i replaced it and it doesn't do that anymore. but heres the worse problem, when im driving and the car is warm, every once in a while the car will shut off. when i say shut off i mean no power, won't crank....dead. then when it wants it will power up again but when i go to crank it, the starter sounds like its going to blow up, then theres a hesitation and it will crank and start immedietly. my dad suggested it was the PCM. im stumped. any ideas?

TIA

Off me head:

 Get the Battery Load Tested = could be intermittent internal fault in Battery?

Carefully inspect Battery Ground(-) Cable lug, that attaches to front engine block, on same stud as Alternator bar brace.
If it looks frayed, or you observe greenish oxidized copper color, toss & install new.

Unbolt the Positive(+) Battery Cable, and if you've got double cable design,
separate the two cables where they join @ Battery(+) Terminal, and inspect for corrosion on hidden mating surfaces.

At rear of engine, you have woven copper Ground straps that bolt to firewall & chassis.
Make certain these straps are in place, and connections are clean/tight.

Also remove ABP's nut, to insure connection is clean/tight.

If any Cables look frayed or corroded, toss em!

Ensure all Fuses male blades in underhood box are tight in their respective females.

Mine started doing that a year or so ago. It turned out to be the battery cables, actually just one of them. Changed them, never did it again.
The next time it shuts down, open the hood and move the cables around a bit and see if it comes back. If so, that's your problem. Good luck!

A few times I turn on my front winshield defroster and my car just dies. Once I was driving and the dash blinked and I felt like I lost power for a second. This also happened once or twice when my car is in park and I press the eject to get a cassette out from the stock am/fm/cassette radio. Anybody experience or can give me insight into this ???

Thanks
