I installed my new 2" cowl hood this weekend, it locks into place and hinges fit fine but after an hour of adjusting, it still sits higher than the fenders,,,, any recomendations on how to lower it,,,, ( already tried the front locking mechanism, up and down, but no luck) Thanks

Did you lower the corner adjusters? Is the higher part in the front/back/both parts of the hood?

not really sure which are the corner adjusters , but I did adjust the corner hinges in the back as well as the ones in front of it,,, The higher part is in the middle it sits over the fenders when locked..

There is 2 bolts on the fenders that are attached to the hinge, they are torx bolts , dont know if these would do any adjusting??

If I understand you correctly, it sits level in the rear and front, but is bowed up about mid fender. You might want to remove your struts to make sure they are not pushing it up. Other than that, either the hood is bowed, or there is something interfering with the hood.

You are now stating that it is the same height above the fender along the whole length of the fender, correct?

On first glance, the rear of the hood is high, so that would mean that the hinge is too high, or the hood is too thick at the hinge (the hood mounts to the hinge from the bottom...I do not think this is the answer).

In the front there are 2 (one on each side) mushroom like bumpers to adjust the hood heigth. They may also be too high.

There really aren't any other adjustments.

You may have an interference issue, so check for that.

If the struts were the cause, it would only be high in the center.
