Technically I think it's possible
Of course it's POSSIBLE.
The question is whether or not it's a good idea.
The ISSF's opinion has been 'probably not a good idea', for nearly 20 years.
YOUR reasons for doing it are probably different from ours.
There's a very important reason why I posted this link:
The front steering and suspension of both the
Chevy Astro / GMC Safari (rear or all wheel drive minivans)
and the
Chevy Caprice / Buick Roadmaster / Cadillac Fleetwood
have enough in common with each other, that it may save you some time and energy to reference those minivans ...
... because those minivans have rack-&-pinion steering.

Mods, please feel free to edit or redact this post, as it may wastefully mislead others.

Unless something has changed,

"USPS has suspended international mail services to Russia due to unavailable transportation to the area resulting from sanctions imposed by the US, UK, EU, and many others on Russia, effective March 11, 2022.Mar 12, 2022"

Actually, they do not. I presently have two Astro vans here and can post photos of the top-feed Saginaw recirculating ball and sector boxes strapped to the left subframe horn. My previous (very early) Astro also had a real gearbox, and not a rack. You may be thinking of the wrong-wheel-drive GM minivans, but that does not apply to the mid-van Astro/Safari design.

I know that the RWD Astrafari are recirculating-ball-&-sector.
I was under the self-convinced impression that the AWD Astrafari were rack-&-pinion.
