I would start by taking the speakers out and put a 9v battery to the terminals. If the speakers move when you do that then they are good. And it could be wiring or the stereo.

 

My bet is those channels have gone out on your radio. I had a Sony receiver do the same thing, lost the two main channels but "surround sound" still worked. Probably not worth fixing just pick up another radio.
