Thank you for the input to do the springs, I know basically how and am able, its just some things are not worth arguing with my dad. You know, pick your battles.

I am mechanically inclined, a year ago having replaced water pump and opti. Years ago I rebuilt a 327, rebuild Quadrajet and Carter carbs along with tuning them (jets, metering rods, accelerator pump stroke, etc.), recurve distributor. I am just showing that I have knowledge and ability, I think talking on carbs and distributor shows my age.

I replaced the front and rear suspension in my 96 SS a few months ago. Ride and handling are much improved with just the right stance. I also replaced the front and rear control arms, bushings, steering shaft, steering components and sway bars, but here are the part numbers for the parts that might work for you. Use electrical tape to keep the insulators in place on the springs.

Front: Moog 7268 springs (Amazon-$89), Moog Coil spring insulators K160045 (Amazon -$14), Energy Suspension pull through bump stop 3.9102G (Amazon $11), GM ZQ8 LCA bumper set 15956547 (ebay $50), Bilstein B6 series shocks 24-011044 (AJUSA $154), Lisle Shock absorber tool 20400 (Amazon $14).

Rear: Reused the OEM SS springs, Prothane rear upper coil spring isolators 7-1710-BL (Amazon $9), Moog rear lower coil spring isolators K6203-2 (Advance Auto Parts $8), Bilstein rear shocks AK Series- AK1044/F4-BE5-E250-M0 (AJUSA $109), EZ Change Rear Shock Bolts from Bill Harper (Navylifer). HTH

Advance Auto has the ZQ8 bump stops for less than $20. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...r-control-arm-bumper-31064/20519975-P?navigationPath=L1*14921|L2*15012|L3*15781 Also the heavy duty sway bar links from Auto Zone and I believe the cushions are poly. There are two HD versions. One has what I believe are grade 8 bolts. I do lots of comparisons when shopping.

Mark: Snowman-33
You are correct, those are the Dorman version. I looked at those but decided to go with the GM ones. I also do a lot of shopping around. I usually just find the part number and google it to find the best price, then go to retailmenot.com to see if I can find a coupon code.

I ordered the Prothane end links but the bolts were too short, prolly because I have the Z28 sway bar in front. A lot of those end links are poly.

I noticed your avatar. I recently went to a reenactment in Jacksonville, FL by ww2armor.org. Sherman tanks and a 155 mm howitzer firing at a German pillbox. Those guys are a class act. They do 4 events a year. One of those should definitely be on your bucket list.
