I have not one panel on the interior of my car atm. Having the 2 18s running in here Im surprised at how rigid the car is in general. The roof and rear quarters seem to be the flattest of any sheet metal in the car.
With my experience so far you could bulk pack this car in the right areas and deplete all resonance issues with an average stereo or noise reduction install. The rear window and windshield also hold up well with flex
If your about to deaden I would aim at roof, rear quarters, rear deck and wheel wells first. Theres enough radial strength among other parts around the body including the floor to only have to spot deaden. The door outer skins for sure if your doing aftermarket audio in them or just after the luxury quiet approach.
Just my experiences so far. We all like to save a buck right? This should be a good approach to begin dampening this car. I just believe my system is aggressive enough to make these statements. Its pretty beast in this thing and Ive been thru some deadening installs.
Most dont require heat guns in product descriptions but dont count it out. I swear by it for surface coverage. It just contours better and makes for more contact area with any product. Dont lazy out even tho its meant to be "easy to install".
heavy duty rollers work better than the little dinky finger cramper that comes with some. Not that it doesnt work but big areas take too long with that thing...lol
Behold the rubber mallet. My deadening friend. Just light wacks around large panels to see where you might wanna double up while your deadening. Lay it wack it add it if necessary.
