ok so i just got my 95 impala a couple of days ago and the only major issue it has is the door wont open from either the inside or out. I tried to remove the door panel to try and see what was wrong but you can only get it off so far with the door closed. And the size of my hands dont really help me out either. When I try to open it from the inside it feels restricted and only nudges a bit. On the outside it feels free as if there's no linkage attached?? HELP!!!!

btw this is my first post :D

does the door handle feel firm (Like the other doors) or does it feel limp? (That's what she said)

Only thing I could think of is.
*Door handle is broken
*Car got hit and bent something to put the door into a bind.
*Child safety lock switch got somehow messed up but should always let you open from the outside in.

Or,it won't unlock. Try removing the lock bezel (gentle) manipulate the rod manually. Lock can bind so that the limited range of the mechanism isn't getting the job done on it own.Someone with long fingers, and a narrow wrist might be able to reach past the rods to the latch itself. Good Luck.

that's a good point. I remember when I was putting my door panel back on that you had to get the manual door lock/unlock metal finger deal in there right or it wouldn't be right. I could see if someone screwed that up it could cause a problem where the door wouldn't lock/unlock.

the outside handle feels limp. the inside handle feels restricted and only allows me to pull it about a 1/4 of the way out same as the rod when i took the panel off. it felt as if it was jammed onto something but as far as me seeing or feeling that was a no go because it wasn't in reach or sight.
