How much diesel can I safely run in my Impala?

Yeah, I know, stupid question, yuk yuk.
Last night, wife accidentally put 5.8 gallons of 91 premium into our jetta tdi. At the time, there was maybe two gallons of diesel in it.
We had it towed home from the station and I am siphoning it out of the tank.
Now, when i am done, I'll have around 8 gallons of fuel that is 25% diesel. I want don't this stuff to sit around forever, was thinking of slowly using in the Impala (which has export pipes, no cats).
Could I mix one gallon of this with 20 gallons of gas at fillup time?

It's not the money, I don't know how to get rid of it. I don't think the landfill will take it in.
Finished the draining. I got 7.5 gallons of fuel mixture out, 5.8 gallons of it was gas.
Aren't some of these fuel additives claiming to add lubricity to fuel, are mostly diesel/kerosene ?

X2 - Not worth the risk of using it.

But...dont let your wife know that yet. Make up some horror story as a result of this and make her feel bad....at least for a little while. We all know our wives are never wrong but on those few occasions, I milk it for all its worth. :)

What kind of BBQ are you talking about? I have enough to burn a witch or a couple of meth heads caught breaking into some B- bodies!

I don't see the complication here. Just sell it.

Do not use gasoline as lighter fluid. A friend just recently went to the hospital after lighting only 2 cups of gasoline on a rather large burn pile. He then stepped back, tossed a lit match into it from as far away as he could stand, and then received 2nd degree burns on his arm as the fireball nearly exploded sideways.

Put it on CL for free and let somebody else deal with it.

I take stale 2 stroke mix, and throw it in my truck, never a problem. But I dilute the h@ll out of it. Like 25 gallons of gas to 4 gallons of mix.

I say do 1/2 gallon at a time, and see what happens. The worst that can happen is fouled plugs, and fouled O2 sensors.

You will never dispose of it legally. It's too volatile.

I would have said just leave it in the Diesel...but that's way too much. If it was an older diesel I'd say screw it and top it off with diesel, but the newer ones are so computer controlled the car would surely freak out. I burned WVO, transmission fluid and straight motor oil in my '84 Mercedes. I always kept a quart in the trunk if I ran out of fuel. I had to use it once, but never ran 100% again. I'd cut my tank between 20 and 50% with my old oil from oil changes when diesel was up to about $4.95 a gallon.

Advance auto takes used oil, just walk to the back of the store and pour it in. I'm sure it's contaminated already. Or put it in a fire pit a little at a time. Soak some wood and light.

My dad used to run a 50/50 diesel/gas mix in his car when he drove a fuel truck and could sneak 5 gallons off at a time. He did that for years. And he never had a problem with mosquitoes either! LOL He gets his gas now from junkyards. They drain the gas out of the junk cars before they crush them and give it to him. It saves them the disposal fee and he uses it in his trucks. Bottom line is that somebody wants your fuel mixture. Listing it on CL for free is the best idea. Just make sure they bring their own cans to put it in.

You and Sherlock give me an idea 'bout saving the $500 to have my septic tank emptied every 5 years.

katana-, sounds like your wife got you a 7 year supply of Seafoam there.
